About Us

Kingsclere CE Primary School > About Us

On behalf of the children, parents, staff and Governors, we would like to warmly welcome you to Kingsclere CE Primary School. Our school website is designed to provide you with an insight to our daily life within our vibrant school. Our picturesque village offers us a wonderful setting in which to learn!

We are a thriving rural village school at the heart of the community, with a strong family-feel. We pride ourselves on our caring and friendly ethos, where everyone is encouraged to flourish by helping to nurture and develop all talents and gifts. We have a dedicated and professional staff team who work hard to provide every child with rich, exciting learning experiences. Our imaginative curriculum offers opportunities for children to engage, question and build their own ideas in order to become the best learners that they can be. We have high expectations of our children, of their academic attainment, their effort, behaviour and attitude. Our children know that they come to our school to learn.

As a school, we focus on ensuring our children develop the skills that will equip them to succeed in all aspects of their future life. This learning is supported by our excellent resources including IT equipment, library, extensive grounds and school kitchen. It is within easy walking distance of the village church which is regularly used for services and events. Our children are able to experience learning musical instruments, taking part in whole school & Key Stage productions, offered sporting opportunities and competing in sport competitions. Our school swimming pool is open in the summer months to support every child in being able to learn to swim.

Our vision is underpinned by our spirituality and core Christian Values of Love, Courage and Respect. The ethos of our school, our curriculum, policies and practice, and all that we put into place for our community, grow from these roots. As a Church of England school, we welcome children and families of Christian faith, of other faiths and of no faith. We explore our understanding of the Christian faith through examining Christian Values. We believe this supports our children in understanding the importance of morals and core values to become responsible citizens within our world, their decision making now and in the future.

We recognise the importance of home and school working together in partnership. We value the importance of parental involvement. We provide regular opportunities for parents to meet with staff to discuss their child’s progress as well as the chance to experience the learning for themselves. Our children achieve extraordinary things at Kingsclere, and we take pride in being able to celebrate and share this with our parents. Each year our children explore new frontiers within a broad curriculum, overcome a fear or attempt something new, entertain audiences with spectacular plays, compete successfully against local teams and raise astonishing amounts of money for charity. Every day we are made to feel proud.

Thank you for visiting our website, we look forward to welcoming you to our school. Please contact the school office on 01635 298583 to arrange a visit where you can meet our children and staff and see our exciting curriculum in action – a first-hand experience is always the best one.
