Whether you are a prospective parent or one of our existing parents, I would like to extend a warm and friendly welcome to you. We hope this website will give you a hint of what our school is all about, but this can never replace first-hand experience. Therefore we would encourage you to come and see us in action and speak to our staff and children yourself.
At Kingsclere CE Primary School, we have a dedicated staff team, who work hard to give every child an enjoyable and fulfilling time at school. We hope that your child will be no exception and will remember their years at primary school with pride and fondness.
Although we are a Christian school, we respect all children’s and parent's values and beliefs, and in no way try to influence these. We welcome families of different faiths and cultures to our school. The core values we instil in our children we believe are good human principles that provide our children with a moral compass in their decision making now and in their future.
We focus our time on ensuring that your child develops the skills that will equip them to do well in all aspects of their future life. We recognise the importance of ensuring they become skilled readers and writers; that they have well developed mathematical skills and that we equip them with the necessary ICT skills to enable them to take advantage of the most up-to-date technologies and learning aids.
We take a pride in offering children a creative curriculum that encourages them to apply their skills both within school and in the wider community.
The teaching and learning in our school is supported by excellent resources including an ICT suite, library, extensive grounds and kitchen. Your child will be able to enjoy musical and sporting opportunities including playing a musical instrument, taking part in productions and competing in sporting competitions. Your child will also learn how to cook and understand what is required to lead a healthy lifestyle. We want your child to develop confidence, to celebrate their individuality, express their point of view and play a full part in school life.
Children learn best when their school and parents work together in partnership. We value the importance of parental involvement. Our parents have regular opportunities to meet teaching staff to discuss the individual progress of their children and have the chance to come in and learn more about what their child is doing in school. Our Senior Leadership Team is made up of myself, the Deputy Headteacher, the Inclusion Manager, KS1+KS2 Phase Leaders and the School Business Manager. The Senior Leadership Team will provide additional pastoral support for your children and meet with you to help solve any issues that may arise.
Children achieve extraordinary things at Kingsclere. Each year they explore new frontiers within a broad curriculum, put on spectacular plays, compete against local teams and raise great amounts for charity. Other quieter successes make us equally proud and happen every day - maybe a fear is overcome or something new attempted.
We are confident that your child will be happy in our school and we look forward to working with you and your family to achieve the very best for your child.
